THESES OF MMBI REPORTS ON MARINE EXPEDITION RESEARCHES AND INTEGRAL RESEARCHES OF MARITIME AND GROUND ECOSYSTEMS IN THE AREA OF SPITZBERGEN ARCHIPELAGO IN 2018 WERE PUBLISHED

The collection of materials of the conference “Results of Expeditionary Research in 2018 in the World Ocean, Inland Waters and the Spitsbergen Archipelago”, which was held on February 18–19, 2019 in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, was published.

The conference was attended by representatives of scientific institutes of RAS: POI FEB RAS, IGEM RAS, IO RAS, MMBI KSC RAS, IAP RAS, PABGI KSC RAS, Kola Branch of GS RAS, Papanin Institute for Biology of Inland Waters Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Archeology RAS, Institute of Geography RAS, Geological Institute KSC RAS, etc., Universities: Moscow State University, NRU HSE, FSAI HE "Sevastopol State University", NArFU, and employees of LLC RN-Shelf - Arctic PJSC Rosneft Oil Company, PJSC Gazprom and the Federal Agency for Subsoil Use (Rosnedra).

The conference program included three main areas: “Expeditionary Research”, “Floating Universities” and “Comprehensive Research on the Spitsbergen Archipelago”.

Murmansk Marine Biological Institute presented two reports on results of scientific expeditionary research conducted by the Institute in 2018: “Marine expeditionary research MMBI KSC RAS in 2018” and “Comprehensive research of marine and terrestrial ecosystems in the Spitsbergen archipelago in 2018" at the Conference.
