Councilor from MMBI from Ornithology and parasitology laboratory, Alexei Ezhov, commented that the postponement of hunting was due to the fact that birds and animals of the Murmansk region have displaced dates of spring migration and reproduction compared with those of the central and southern regions of Russia. Members of the Scientific Council agreed to shift the dates of spring hunting on average a month later. Also, biologists and environmentalists left meringues to change the status of the gray crow, and did not recommend it for inclusion in the list of hunting species.
