THE NEXT ORNITHOLOGICAL CONFERENCE OF NORTH EURASIA WILL BE HELD IN MINSK IN 2020

Menzbirov Ornithological Society was established at the All-Union Ornithological Conference In Leningrad, on February 19, 1983, and it was decided on February 19 to celebrate the day of the ornithologist. Since then, ornithologists of the post-Soviet space have celebrated this day.

Natalia Lebedeva, a chief researcher at MMBI KSC RAS, attended the meeting of the Central Council of Menzbirov Ornithological Society, which was held in Moscow on February 20, 2019, in the Zoological Museum of Moscow State University. At the meeting, they discussed the holding of the next International Scientific Ornithological Conference of Northern Eurasia, which Menzbirov Ornithological Society holds once every 4-5 years. After negotiations at the National State University in Minsk (Republic of Belarus), the President of the Menzbier Society, members of the Central Council, the leadership of the University and the Belarusian Academy of Sciences decided to hold an International Ornithological Conference in February 2020 in Minsk. At the meeting of the Central Council in the Zoo-Museum of Moscow State University, the preliminary program of the conference, a composition of the international Program and Organizing Committee, and composition of an editorial board of the conference were discussed. In the near future, the first information letter will be sent to all ornithologists.
