REPRESENTATIVES OF MMBI REPORTED ABOUT MONITORING THE CONDITION OF ARCTIC SEA ECOSYSTEMS AT THE CONFERENCE IN ARKHANGELSK

Employees of MMBI took part in the international conference “Biomonitoring in the Arctic”, which took place in Arkhangelsk on November 26-27, 2018. The main topics of the scientific forum were the impact of industrial development of northern latitudes on the environment, medical and environmental well-being of people and legal regulation in these areas. Employees of Algology and Plankton Laboratories Dr.Sc. G.M. Voskoboynikov and PhD V.V. Vodopyanova made scientific reports on monitoring hydrobiological studies of the Barents Sea and the role of algae in coastal waters bioremediation. Professor Grigory Voskoboynikov also acted as moderator of the section “Industrial conservation of the Arctic and the preservation of biodiversity”.
