THE RV "DALNIE ZELENTSY" RETURNED FROM THE KARA SEA

The MMBI research team, consisting of oceanographers, ichthyologists and ornithologists, returned from a sea voyage aboard RV “Dalnie Zelentsy” in the Barents and Kara Seas. The integrated expedition took place from August 14 to September 18, 2018. The scientific program included conducting integrated environmental monitoring in the area of the Prirazlomnaya platform and in the North-West license area in the Barents Sea and in 10 license areas of Gazprom in the Kara Sea. The work was carried out jointly with employees of Krasnoyarskgazprom Neftegazproekt and IESPA. A complex of oceanographic and hydrobiological works was carried out at more than 160 complex stations, observations of seabirds and mammals, and bottom and pelagic ichthyological trawling were carried out.

The expedition was met by journalists of the State TV and Radio Company “Murman” in the port of Murmansk.
