DIRECTOR OF MMBI PROFESSOR PR. MAKAREVICH SPOKE ON THE USE OF SATELLITE TECHNOLOGIES IN THE STUDY OF ARCTIC ANIMALS MIGRATIONS

Director of MMBI, Professor P.R. Makarevich took part in the joint scientific conference “Ecology. Economy. Informatics”, which took place from 10 to 15 September in the village of Abrau-Durso, Krasnodar Territory. The program of the scientific forum included: VI All-Russian Conference "Systems Analysis and Modeling of Economic and Ecological Systems", XI All-Russian Conference "Geoinformation Technologies and Space Monitoring", roundtable "Dangerous coastal processes in the Sea of Azov and the socio-economic consequences of their manifestations", master classes “Virtual visualization of expedition routes and field practices”, “Methods for decoding radar images for solving geographic problems” and other events. Professor P.R. Makarevich delivered a plenary report on the Experience of MMBI KSC RAS in the Use of Satellite Technologies for Studying Animal Migration in the Arctic and also held meetings of the section Ecological Research and Environmental Monitoring.
