At University of Heidelberg (Germany) on April 23-27, 2018, the 6th International Eurasian Ornithological Congress IEOC – 2018 took place
The main scientific employee of Azov branch of MMBI KSC RAS, Professor N.V. Lebedeva made an oral report "Experience of recovery and maintenance of waterfowl populations at the southern European Russia". N.V. Lebedeva shared with forum participants the experience on restoration and maintenance of waterfowl populations in the European South of Russia. The introduction of methods for improving habitats of wild geese, developed by Russian scientists, and climatic changes in recent years have positively affected the population of wild birds. The poplar population was stabilized.
