Four organizations took part in the conference, including MMBI, agreed to make a Consortium of researchers on marine oil pollution in the north (CRMOPN). The Consortium is aimed at bringing together researchers in fields of oil pollution and conservation of North marine ecosystems. The long-term goal of the Consortium is to unite efforts, experience and knowledge of participants to study, research and solve problems related to oil pollution of the marine environment, so that the generally recognized state of pollution associated with energy development and transport is widely recognized and reflected in decision-making, especially in the North. Participants of the Consortium: 1) University of Aberdeen, Center for Energy Law, UK; 2) Murmansk Marine Biological Institute KSC RAS, Murmansk, Russia; 3) M.V. Lomonosov Northern (Arctic) Federal University, Arctic Biomonitoring Laboratory, Arkhangelsk, Russia; and 4) Tomsk State University, Biological Institute, Russia.
