“PROBLEMS OF THE ARCTIC REGION”

First Announcement

 

Eighteenth International Scientific Conference for Students and Post-graduates “Problems of the Arctic Region” is devoted to the scientific, environmental, technical, economic, and social aspects of the development of the Arctic. The conference will be divided into sections “Arctic Hydrobiology and Ichthyology”, “Biology and Medicine”, “Chemistry and Technology”, “Ecology of the North”, “Economic problems of Arctic development”, «Education in the Arctic region”, “Geology and Geophysics of the Arctic Region”, “Humanitarian and Social problems”, “Information Technologies and Mathematical Methods”, “Physical studies”. Suggestions on new topics are welcome. The conference will be introduced by a plenary report on one of burning issues of modern science.

For the execution of the application to the Russian Fund of Basic Research, we ask you to send till February 19, 2019, by e-mail issc@pgi.ru your preliminary information about the planned report: speaker's full name, name of the report, section, organization, country.

Students and post-graduates interested in participating in the Conference are welcome to e-mail their registration forms and papers to the Steering Committee until 22 April 2019. The registration form must contain the title of the report, names of the authors, scientific adviser, full name of the organization, address, e-mail of the contact person, dates of arrival and departure. The volume of the paper should not exceed one page. The application is made in accordance with the Annex to this information message in two formats: text (*.doc) and graphics (containing the signatures of the authors and the head). Abstracts must be prepared in Word. The paper is to be printed with single-spaced text and 12 pt type Times New Roman in MS Word. All margins are to be 2 cm, justified alignment, formulas in Microsoft Equation when enumerating use numbers or letters.
Participants should also indicate if they need assistance with hotel booking.

 

The paper is to be arranged in the following way:

1. TITLE OF THE REPORT (12 pt type Times New Roman, centre)

2. Names and surnames of the authors (12 pt, centre)

3. Organization name; e-mail of the contact person (12 pt, centre)

4. Text of the report (no more than 1 page).

 

By applying for participation in the conference, authors agree to the publication of their work in the open press indicating their personal data.

The conference is full-time, languages of the conference are Russian and English.

By the beginning of the conference, a collection of abstracts will be published.

Conference rules stipulate awarding authors of the best works.

Financial support for travel of participants from other regions is not provided; a hostel can be provided for nonresident conference participants. An invitation to participate in the conference can be arranged upon request.

Participants who spoke at the conference with a report will be able to publish their work in the proceedings of the conference (deadline - September 1, 2019), the publication is included in the RSCI.
